Jennifer started boxing at 15. She was already an exceptional athlete. She won a Gold and Silver medal in martial arts in the Junior Olympics. She has earned Third Degree Black Belts in three different martial arts disciplines (Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do and Hoi Jeon Moo Sool). Her fifth boxing match was in the open division. She has participated in 10 National Rating Boxing Tournaments and has won Gold in 4, Silver in 3 and Bronze in 3. Jennifer has competed in 3 International Tournaments and has won Silver and Bronze medals. The most recent was in Taiwan Invitational World Tournament where she lost to Russia in the finals earning a Silver Medal. The Russian was selected the Outstanding Boxer of the International Tournament. The most notable of Jennifer's outstanding accomplishments: Winning the USA Boxing National Championship in 2001 and 2004, being selected as USA Boxing FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH of July, 2004, winning THE NATIONAL GOLDEN GLOVES in 2002 and 2004, and being selected as the GOLDEN GIRL (BEST BOXER) of both 2002 and 2004 National Golden Gloves Tournaments.
Jennifer is the oldest of Master Bae H and Joyce Han's five children. She is a junior at University of Texas at El Paso majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Business. She developed a strong work ethic from her father who teaches her to never quit and always work harder than your opponent.
Jennifer's goals are to complete her degree and win the World Amateur Boxing Championship. She also hopes to participate and win gold in the first women's Olympics if approved for 2008.
Jennifer's potential is unlimited. She is already a world-class athlete and improving everyday. She trains 6 days each week. She goes to College full time and teaches in the family business (Martial Arts Academy) 6 days each week. She trains for boxing after work (9pm to 11pm). Even with this demanding schedule she finds time to swim and run 4 to 5 times each week. Jennifer Han will be successful in whatever she wants to do in her life. RIGHT NOW HER SIGHTS ARE SET ON WINNING EVERY MAJOR TOURNAMENT IN 2005.
