ST. CHARLES OBITUARIES

Eric G. Watson, 15, of Winfield, died Tuesday (Sept. 7, 2004) at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Eric was a freshman at Winfield High School.
He had been a boxer since the age of 9. He had fought in more than 80 amateur boxing matches, winning Golden Gloves Championships twice, the Gateway Tournament and several titles and belts.
Two hours of visitation are scheduled before the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday at McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone Street, Troy. Burial will be at Troy City Cemetery on West Boone Street.
Among survivors are his father, Jerry Watson of Hazelwood; his mother, Rita Watson of Foley; two sisters, Heather Watson of Foley and Meg Miller of Abilene, Texas; a brother, Jerry Watson of Jefferson City; grandparents, Lowell and Lois Beauchamp of Hazelwood; and grandmother, Glenna Watson of Hazelwood.
